Description
Y -- A Market Survey is being conducted to determine if there are adequate Section 8(a) firms and/or Hubzone Contractors for this proposed contract for either a Section 8(a) or Hubzone Business Competitive Set-Aside. The proposed contract will be to Design/Build a 20,159 square foot Chapel. The proposed contract will provide a turnkey product complete with design, construction, interior design, building fit-out with furniture and equipment. The Chapel will consist of a central worship area containing 600 seats (400 permanent seats and 200 removable seats), a multi-function area with stage, religious education areas and classrooms, and administrative areas. The worship area will contain an extensive sound system, multi-media screens and equipment, and a control area. Supporting Facilities will include utility connections; electric service; exterior lighting; fire protection and alarm system; anti-terrorism/force protection measures and site improvements. Access for the handicapped will be provided. Heating and A/C will be provided by self contained systems. Demolition of four WW II wood buildings will be accomplished under this project. The project is planned for advertisement in 2002 with award scheduled for June 2002. Contract duration is estimated at 500 calendar days. NAICS Code is 541330 ($4,000,000.00 Size Standard) and 233320 ($27,500,000.00 Size Standard). The estimated cost range is $3,000,000.00 to $5,000,000.00. All interested Section 8(a) and/or Hubzone Businesses should notify this office in writing by mail or fax by 4:00 PM, Local Time, 14 November 2001. Responses should include: (1) Identification of company as Section 8(a) or a Hubzone Business, (2) Past Performance information about 5 completed projects of similar size and scope completed in the past 5 years. Similar experience includes Chapels or religious facilities, music halls, or theatres. If the respondent is a joint venture (i.e. AE firm teamed with a construction firm), provide experience requirements for both firms. (3) Proof of the capability of obtaining single bonding capacity up to $5,000,000.00. NOTE: If an adequate number of qualified Section 8(a) or Hubzone Business firms do not respond, this planned contract action will be converted to an unrestricted procurement.
