Description
The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division has a requirement to purchase Ship Service/Emergency Diesel Generator (SS/EDG) Sets and associated distribution switchgear for installation aboard U.S. Navy ships. The requirements are as follows: (1) The Base Requirement consists of Auxiliary Ship Power System including 1825 KW diesel generators (2 Each), control and distribution switchgear (2 Each), and data requirements (1 Lot), and (2) Optional Requirements consists of 1825 KW diesel generators (2 Each), control and distribution switchgear (2 Each), data requirements (1 Lot), installation (labor, travel, per diem) for the Base Requirement diesel generators and switchgear (1 Lot), and installation (labor, travel, per diem) for the Optional Requirement diesel generators and switchgear (1 Lot). The solicitation will be processed under full and open competition procedures, and any resultant contract award will be based on a firm fixed price type pricing arrangement. All responsive and responsible sources may submit a proposal, which will be considered. The requirement is advertised as unrestricted. All potential offerors shall submit requests for this solicitation indicating their current size status, small disadvantaged, small, large, 8(a), or HBCU, etc. This requirement is listed under NAICS Code 335312 which establishes the small business size standard as 1000 EMPLOYEES. Requests shall also include the offeror's address, point of contact, phone number, and e-mail address. Offerors will be notified by e-mail when the solicitation and any respective amendments are available for download from the NSWCCD website (see LINKURL website address: http://www.dt.navy.mil/acquisition). Offerors who do not have internet access shall formally request that a hardcopy of the solicitation and any amendment be sent to the address indicated in their request letter.
