Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation F05611-02-Q-0001 is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-27. The North American Industry Classification System Number (NAICS) is 334516 and the small business size standard is 500 employees. =20 CLIN 0001 Varian NMR System consisting of 1 each Bore Magnet, P/N 0190178400 7.0 T 54 mm ALOX Magnet 300 NB, Oxford magnet with internal shield surrounding the solenoid. To include flexible liquid helium transfer line and magnetic field hazard signs with 1 each P/N 0095855705 Magnet Kit and 1 each 0190482319 Magnet Installation. This is a replacement item for the existing system which is no longer functioning. This synopsis outlines the requirements for (Name Brand Only) of the above. Government proposed delivery is 90 days after receipt of order. FOB point is destination. Delivery will be made to the Transportation Officer, 8110 Security Dr., Door 11/12/13, USAF Academy, CO 80840. Delivery of items shall be accomplished between 07:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., local time, Monday through Friday. No deliveries to be made on Saturdays, Sundays or Federal holidays. Installation shall be coordinated between Mr. Hutchinson of DFC, (719) 333-6115, Mr. Jordan of LGCB (719) 333-4060 and VARIAN NMR. Details of installation shall be provided to LGCB Attn: Mr. Jordan. Provision at Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. Evaluation basis for award is price alone. A completed copy of the provisions at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items, must be received with the offer. Clauses at FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items and 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items, apply to this acquisition. FAR 52.232-33, Payment by Electronic Funds Transfer-Central Contractor Registration (31 U.S.C. 3332) included at FAR 52.212-5 is applicable. The following Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) clauses are included: 252.212-7000 Offeror Representations and Certificates-Commercial Items; 252.212-7001 Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders Applicable to Defense Acquisitions of Commercial Items; 252.204-7004 Required Central Contractor Registration; 252.225-7001 Buy American Act and balance of Payment Program; and 252.225-7036 North American Free Trade Agreement Implementation Act.
