- Description
- The National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute intends to purchase the brand name only Pressure-Volume Conductance System, Model Number ARIA-1, manufactured by Millar Instruments, Inc. The system components are: (1) Pressure-Volume Conductance System, for Laptop Computer, Model Number ARIA-1, Part #: 880-0081, MPCU-200 Conductance Unit with built-in Pressure Control Unit and RVU Calibrator, 1 each; Interface cable, TEC-10D, for the Millar Mikro-Tip Catheter Pressure, 1 each; Interface cable, CEC-10A, for the Millar Mikro-Tip Catheter Electrodes, 1 each; Interface cable, NIC-100, connects MPCU-200 to computer, 1 each; Intel Pentium Laptop Computer with Windows 95 with Data Acquisition PCBA, 1 each; Color Ink Jet Printer, 1 each; Conductance Data Acquisition Software; Conductance Data Analysis Software; Data Acquisition Software One-year Maintenance Agreement; Data Analysis Software One-year Maintenance Agreement; Operators Manual. (2) Millar Pressure-Volume Catheter for Mice, Model SPR-839, Part #: 840-8111, components include: 1.4F, Polymide catheter 3/3.5 with four electrodes. Electrode spacing: E1-E2=3D0.5mm,E2-E3=3D4.5mm,E3-E4=3D0.5mm. Pressure sensor centered between E2 & E3. Catheter extension of Nylon for an overall length of 20cm with low profile connector. (3)Volume Calibration Cuvette, Part #: 910-1042, Specifications: 2,3,4,5,6,&7mm. (4) Millar Installation and Training, Part #: 910-1037, One-day on-site installation and training including portal to portal travel expenses by Millar. The Government intends to evaluate offers and award a contract without discussions with the Offerors providing the required specifications as outlined in this solicitation. Therefore, the initial offer should contain the offeror?s best terms from a technical and price standpoint. The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) Code is 334516 and the Size Standard is 500 employees for this requirement. This requirement is a small business set-aside. This acquisition is being conducted under simplified acquisition procedures. Interested vendors capable of furnishing the government with the products in this synopsis should submit two (2) copies of a proposal to the below address. The proposal shall include the business size, itemized price, including shipping cost if applicable, prompt payment terms, the F.O.B. Point (Destination or Origin), Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN), Dun & Bradstreet Number (DUNs), Business size, and descriptive literature of the product quoted. The proposal must reference ?Solicitation number? NHLBI-PS-2002-008. Proposals will be due fifteen (15) calendar days from the publication date of this synopsis or November 14, 2001, whichever is later by 9:00 a.m. local time. All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which if timely received, shall be considered by the agency. Quotations must be submitted in writing to the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute, Contracts Operations Branch, Procurement Section, 6701 Rockledge Drive, Suite 6042, Bethesda, Maryland 20892-7902, Attention: Deborah Coulter. Fax quotations will only be accepted if dated and signed by an authorized company representative.
