Description

This is a special notice issued by Westinghouse Savannah River Company (WSRC), management and operating contractor for the U.S. Department of Energy's Savannah River Site near Aiken, South Carolina. WSRC wishes to determine public interest in licensing for commercial resale the Microwave Off-Gas Treatment System. The system is designed to remediate hazardous gaseous emissions from a wide variety of thermal processes. It uses microwave energy and high temperatures to treat off-gas emissions for safe discharge to the atmosphere. Small, compact, and portable, the system requires low maintenance. It can be connected easily to various furnaces, ovens, or other thermal equipment. Using a standard, off-the-shelf microwave oven, the system is low cost and easy to assemble.
