Description
Maintenance and Logistic Command, Pacific proposes to contract the drydock and repairs of USGC ORCAS (WPB 1327), a 110? patrol boat, homeported in Coos Bay, Oregon. All work shall be performed at the contractor?s facilities, during the period of 12 February 2002. Work items to include: production control Gantt chart, single point Davit level three inspection, tanks potable water clean and inspect, tanks fuel oil service clean and inspect, tank fuel oil storage clean and inspect, tank sewage collection clean and inspect, tank grey water holding clean and inspect, underwater diver hull inspection, deck covering interior wet reseal, deck interior wet renewal, main engines change out and temp services. The Invitation for Bids (IFB) will be issued on or about 10 December 2001. Potential offerors are advised that the solicitation, specifications and other notifications can also be accessed on the web site: www.eps.gov. The solicitation is issued in accordance with the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. All responsive sources may submit a bid, which will be considered by this agency. For Women-Owned and Disadvantage Business Enterprises, the Department of Transportation (DOT) Minority, Office of Small and Disadvantage Utilization has programs to assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged enterprises to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short-term Lending Program (STLP) at the prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000.
