Description
Provide service support for generator set activities during emegency operations for the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers, North Atlantic Division, which comprises 12 states and the District of Columbia. Services required will include the leasing of CFE (Cont ractor Furnished Equipment) ranging in size up to Power Stations. GFE (Government Furnished Equipment) are generator sets that range in size from 4Kw to 1Mw. Generator set activities include assessment of power needs, preparation, hauling, installing, pr eventative maintenance, service, fueling, and relocating and the recovery of generator sets with any associated fuel systems. There will be three geographical areas requiring support; therefore, up to three contracts may be awarded. The period of perform ance will be from Jan. 1, 2002, or date of award (whichever is later) through Nov. 30, 2002. Upon mobilization, the successful contractor(s) will be required to perform generator set activities 24 hours a day, seven days a week, including holidays. The s olicitation will be issued on (or about) Nov. 15, 2001. Proposals will be due by 4:00 p.m., Dec. 14, 2001, local time. The NAICS code is 221119 and the size standard is 4 megawatt/hour. The solicitation is unrestricted. Solicitation documents will be f urnished only via the Internet. Hard copies will not be available. Offerors may view and (or) download the solicitation and any amendments from the Internet at the following address: https://ebs.nap.usace.army.mil on or after the issue date of the solici tation. Interested firms MUST REGISTER ON THE INTERNET. NO WRITTEN OR FAX REQUESTS SHALL BE ACCEPTED. If any information changes during the advertisement period, offerors are responsible to make changes to their user profile on the Internet. Failure to make changes in their user profile may cause a delay in receiving the solicitation and amendments. Offerors are responsible for printing papaer copies of the solicitation. Affirmative action will also apply. Award will be made by service area, as a who le, to one offeror; thus, up to three contracts may be awarded. All contractors must be registered in the DoDs Central Contract Register before award as required by DFARS 204.7300. Instructions will be included in the solicitation.
