Description

Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWD), China Lake, CA intends to negotiate and award on an other-than-competitive basis a fixed price IDIQ contract with FXC Corporation, Santa Ana, CA under Part 12 of FAR, Commercial Items. The resulting contract is for Automatic Activation Devices (AAD) (FXC Part Number 811-00487) that has been qualified by the NAWCWPNS Thin-Pack Project Office for use in the E-2C Thin-Pack Parachute Survival Ensemble (PSE) which is an improved parachute/survival system for E-2C aircrew members. FXC Corporation developed the AAD and retains proprietary rights to the AAD. The components, when delivered, will be provided as GFM by the Navy to Safety Equipment International (SEI) located in Asheville, NC who is the sole source manufacturer of the E-2C PSE and its subassemblies. The first AAD?s are needed to meet the 2002 production schedule for E-2C?s. Term of contract: three years. FOB: Destination prices. Maximum quantity: 500 units. Delivery requirements: 270 days from date of order. Early and partial deliveries are acceptable. The Government does not guarantee maximum quantities. Estimated date of solicitation: November 15, 2001. Solicitation closes: November 29, 2001. Estimated award date: December 10, 2001. Quantities will be ordered and funded under delivery orders issued under this contract. Commercial solicitation will be posted at https://contracts.nawcwd.navy.mil/.
