Description

The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) anticipates entering into non-competitive negotiations with AT&T to maintain Seismic Monitoring/Tsunami Warning circuits currently being provided by AT&T under the FTS2000 contract without interruption to the service. These circuits are slated to be transitioned to the new FTS2001 (MCI/W) contract. However, this transition will not take place prior to the expiration of the FTS2000 contract on December 6, 2001. The period of performance for this contract is expected to be December 7, 2001 through December 6, 2002. Firms who believe they can provide the required circuits without interruption are invited to submit an affirmative response by November 6, 2001 in accordance with Note 22.
