Description
The Library of Congress intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Tom Hontz Associates (THA) to provide a continuation of compatible JG Systems furniture for the new Kluge Center. THA manufactures JG furniture and all of its components and replacement parts. This requirement includes JG standard and custom system furniture components and other coordinated furniture components that shall be interchangeable and compatible with existing product. THA shall manufacture matching JG system furniture components for 13 new private offices and 38 new open offices and also provide installation in total for 16 private offices and 38 open offices using new and existing components. Furnishings will include panel posts, end caps, connectors, & support panels, glass panels & doors, shelves & overhead cabinets, work surfaces, pedestal/desk runoffs/wardrobe & storage cabinets, transaction shelves & counter tops and accessories. Capability statements documenting contractor qualifications to perform the work expected as outlined herein, must be received within fifteen (15) days after date of publication of this synopsis. A determination by the government not to compete the proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Offerors who request a copy of the solicitation and/or merely provide a statement that they can perform the work required will not be considered.
