The USDA, Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ), Beltsville, MD, intends to procure a SpinCon Model PAS 450/10 portable air sampler, or equal. Submit faxed quotations to "Purchasing Section," at (612) 370-2136, Attention Joanne Mann. QUOTATIONS ARE DUE NOVEMBER 9, 2001 BY 10:00 a.m. local time. Simplified procurement procedures will be used as well as commercial item acquisition regulations per FAR 12. Manufacturer's Address: _________________________. SPECIFICATIONS: Spin Con Model PAS-450: Sample flow rate of 450 Liters per minute. Sample size: 10 ml. Collection to be in a liquid. Proven open field collection capability. Unit must collect samples continuously for variable lengths of time determined by the user, from 5 minutes to 24 hours. Must operate in a variable temperature range of 2 degrees to 50 degrees C. Unit must be easily portable in outdoor environments. Power requirements: 120v AC, 12/24v DC. Power Consumption: 450-500W. Exterior must be of a durable nature in order to be wiped down with a diluted bleach solution. Fluid lines and contactor must be of a durable nature for a bleach solution to be used in the sanitation process. =20
