Description

Tree maintenance activity, i.e. removal and pruning for fiscal year 2002 with an option to renew the contract for fiscal year 2003. The contractor shall provide all labor, supervision, quality control, safety prevention, tools, material, equipment and transportation necessary to perform work in accordance with all Federal, District of Columbia laws, regulations, codes, licenses and directives. The contractor shall perform according to the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) Standard ANSI A300-1995 "Tree Shrub and other Woody Plant Maintenance -- Standard Practices". All work and general supervision of an Arborist(s) certified by the International Society of Arboriculture, P.O. Box 3129, Champaign Illinois 61826-3129 who possess verifiable experience and technical competence in tree physiology, identification, diagnosis of disorders and current tree care and safety practices in accordance with accepted industry standards. The contract is a combination firm ifixed price/indefinite quantity contract. The contract term will be a base period of one year with one option year. The proposed contract listed is 100% small business set-aside. The North American Industtry Classification System (NAICS) code is 115000. This is a Request for Quotation (RFQ) using procedures from FAR Part 13 -- Simplified Acquisition Procedures and incorporation provisions and clauses in effect through FAR Circular 97-27. The soliciation is scheduled for issuance on or about November 15, 2001. All responsible sources may submit a written quotation which shall be considered by the Agency. An award date of December 7, 2001 is anticipated.
