Description

NOTE: Any prospective bidder/offeror interested in obtaining plans and specification for this solicitation MUST REGISTER ON OUR WEBSITE at https://ebs.sas.usace.army.mil/ Do not send requests for solicitations to this office. Plans and specifications wil l be issued on Compact Disk (CD-ROM) and will be provided free of charge. Paper copies of this solicitation will not be available. Description of Work: The work consists of raising approximately 22,000 linear feet of dikes surrounding Area 13B of the Sa vannah Harbor dredged material containment area and installing and underdrain system consisting of pipes and a monitoring system within the containment area. Approximately 900,000 cubic yards of earthwork will be required. Estimated cost range of this pr oject is $1,000,000.00 to $5,000,000.00. Network Analysis System will not be required. It has been determined this solicitation will be limited to 8a certified construction firms located within the geographical area serviced by the SBA within Region IV a nd other construction firms having a bona fide branch office located within the geographical boundaries of the relevant competitive areas. All other firms are deemed ineligible to submit offers. This solicitation will be issued in electronic format only and will also be available on or about November 20, 2001, on the internet at http://www.sas.usace.army.mil/ebs/. Notification of amendments will be through use of the Internet. No additional media (CD-ROM, floppy disks, faxes, etc.) will be provided. It is the contractor's responsibility to check the Internet address provided above as necessary for any posted changes to to this solicitation and all amendments.
