Description

TheMEDCOM Contracting Center-North Atlantic intends to procure by negotiation, DNA Collection Kits and associated accessories for the DoD DNA Registry/Repository for delivery to various sites both within and outside of CONUS. The Government contemplates award of a Requirements contract o/a 1 January 2002 with an initial base period ending 30 September 2002 and four option years. The contractor, upon receipt of funded orders, will be required to assemble individual DNA collection kits from a list of components specified in the contract or the contractor may be required to furnish separately ordered components. The following constitutes an example of the items and estimated quantities to be solicited: 1) DNA Collecton Kits, (75,000); 2) Bloodstain Cards, (400,000); 3) Single Nylon Pouch, (400,000); 4) Mailing Pouch, (50,000) 5) Vacuum Foil Pouch, (500,000); and other items such as Desiccant, DNA Supply Labels, Drying Racks, #2 Pencils, Alcohol Swabs & return address lables. The Government intends to set this procurement aside for 100% small business utilizing a NAICS Code of 325414 with a small business size standard of 500 employees.
