Description

The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, Puget Sound, WA has a requirement for annual preventative and remedial maintenance of material handling equipment in support of the Defense Reutilization and Marketing Office, Guam. Place of performance will in GUAM. The various quantities of material handling equipment will include Yale, Clark, and Hyster forklifts, Miller Airpak Welder/Generator, John Deere Front-end Loader, and Tenna Warehouse Seeeper. This requirement calls for a base and two option years. The period of performance will be as follows: Base year: 01 February 2002 through 31 January 2003; Option year one: Option year one exercise date through one year thereafter; Option year two: Option year two exercise date through one year thereafter. Contractor to provide all labor, equipment, materials, and transportation necessary to perform this requirement. The resulting contract will be a Time and Materials (T &M) type of contract. T&M contracts cannot be issued using FAR part 12 commercial acquisition procedures hence Note 26 applies. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be issued on or about November 26, 2001 with proposals due on or about December 26, 2001. The solicitation itself, when issued will specify the exact closing date and time. When issued, the RFP will be posted on the Navy Electronic Commerce Online (NECO) web link "www.neco.navy.mil". All offerors wishing to submit an offer, are responsible for downloading their own copy of the RFP from this website (WinZIP is required) and to frequently monitor that site for any amendments to the RFP. No telephone or fax requests for the RFP package will be accepted. An email request to "brad_e_demers@puget.fisc.navy.mil" will be accepted in the event an offeror experiences problems downloading the RFP from the NECO website. No bidders list will be maintained by this office. No paper copies of the RFP and/or amendments will be mailed. Failure to respond to electronically posted solicitations or quotes and associated amendments prior to the date and time set for receipt of proposals or quotes may render your proposal or quote nonresponsive and result in the rejection of same. =20
