Description

Under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1, The Government intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with The University of Iowa to obtain a Water Quality Study of the Iowa River as it is affected by the Coralville Reservoir. The Univ ersity of Iowa provids extensive knowledge and historical precedence in conducting this type of study. They have developed specialized instrumentation, software and equipment for performing field analyses and possess the historical database to conduct com parative and multi-year analysis of acquired data. The University of Iowa's extensive professional knowledge, established database, close proximity and exemplary quality control will result in a reduction of time and cost needed to complete the study and w ill generate substantial savings for the Government. This notice of intent in neither a request for proposal nor a solicitation for offers. No specifications will be furnished.
