- Description
- The following commercial service is to provide minimum requirements for a contract for the certification of the production facilities at Anniston Army Depot to the provisions of ISO Standard 9002, 1994 or the American equivalent American National Standard ANSI/ASQC Q9002, 1994. The contractor is required to have complete accreditation from the Registrars Accreditation Board or other internationally recognized governing body(s) to perform certification audits and certify to the ISO standards. The product ion facilities at Anniston Army Depot are responsible for the repair, overhaul, rebuild, and/or modification of a variety of combat and tactical vehicles such as tanks, personnel carriers, self-propelled artillery, bridge launchers as well as towed artille ry, small arms, and various components such as engines, transmissions, hydraulic components, electronic components and assemblies for the supply system. Facilities at Anniston include repair facilities for turbine engine, reciprocating engine, transmissio n, hydraulic system, small arms, dynamometer test, welding, machining, metal finish, paint, vehicle assembly, electronic repair, cleaning, artillery overhaul, and vehicle test. The Directorate of Production consist of the following divisions: Tracked Sys tems Division, Turbine Drive Train Division, Weapon System Division, Manufacturing Division, Cleaning-Finishing and Painting Division, Armament Division and Reciprocating Drive Train Division. There are approximately 1000 employees that work throughout th e area in support of these divisions with engineering, parts, equipment maintenance, planning, scheduling and quality assurance. Anniston is aware that we must be converted to ISO 9000:2000 by 15 December 2003, once this conversion is accomplished modific ations to the contract will be considered or negotiated. This requirements type contract will be for one (1) base year and four (4) option years. This solicitation is unrestricted. North American Industrial Classification System is 541380 . Size stand ard is $5.0 million. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.501, 5.102(a)(7) and 14.205-1(c), therefore hardcopies will not be provided.
