Description
Maintenance and Logistic Command, Pacific proposes to contract the dockside and repairs of USCGC COWSLIP (WLB 277), 180' buoy tender, homeported in Astoria, Oregon. All work shall be performed at the cutter's homeport at pier side, during the period of 12 March and complete 19 April 2002. . Invitation for Bid (IFB) will be issued on or about 12/04/01. Bidders are advised that the solicitation, specification and other notifications can also be accessed on the web at: www.eps.gov. Work items to include: production control, Gantt bar chart, padeye renewal, buoy and cargo handling crane level 2 inspect and repair, cargo hoisting padeye testing, anchor chains ground tackle inspect and repair, hydraulic overhaul and test, single point davit (gen) level 2 inspect andtest, buoy decks (exterior) preserve, 100%, temporary services, dockside provide. The solicitation is issued in accordance with the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. All responsive sources may submit an offer, which will be considered by this agency. For Women-Owned and Disadvantage Business Enterprises, the Department of Transportation (DOT) Minority, Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization has programs to assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged enterprises to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short-Term Lending Program (STLP) at the prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000.
