- Description
- Bureau of Reclamation, Lower Colorado Regional Office (LCRO), seeks sources that have the required experience and qualified personnel to conduct a wide variety of tasks relating to the identification, documentation, evaluation, management, and interpretation of cultural resources. These tasks may include, but shall not be limited to: development, initiation, and documentation of Class I, II, and III inventories; preparation of historic contexts and research designs; limited testing of archaeological sites; full scale data recovery; artifact and sample analysis and interpretation; preparation of artifacts, etc., for curation; historic structures evaluation and documentation; facilitation and/or performance of activities supporting the agency's consultation with tribes concerning issues related to cultural resources; ethnographic data collection; activities related to negotiation and preparation of agreement documents and management plans; preparation of National Register nomination forms; development of interpretative materials; and preparation of sections of environmental compliance documents relating to the affected environment and potential effects of project alternatives on cultural resources. Offerors must be familiar with archaeological and historic preservation literature and planning documents, and post-contact histories relevant to the service area. Numerous tribes have traditional and historic ties to lands within the LCRO service area defined by the watershed of the Colorado River downstream of Glen Canyon Dam (includes areas in Nevada, California, Utah, Arizona and New Mexico). Offerors must be familiar with ethnographic and ethnohistoric literature of the region, especially that for Southern Paiute, Hualapai, Mohave, Chemehuevi, Quechan, Cocopah, Yavapai, Kumeyaay, Cahuilla, Havasupai, Hopi, Zuni, and Navajo tribal groups.
