Description

This is a SOLE-SOURCE synopsis. The Federal Highway Administration intends to negotiate a cooperative agreement with the International City/County Management Association (ICMA) to facilitate stakeholder outreach and feedback under the Intelligent Transportation System's Public Safety Program. The objectives of the effort are to organize and support Public Safety Liaison Groups (PSLG), organize and facilitate PSLG meetings, facilitate outreach to stakeholders from the public safety community and to obtain feedback and expert comment from stakeholders regarding the execution of the United States Department of Transportation Public Safety Program agenda. Public safety communities involved will include fire service, law enforcement, traffic management, emergency medical services, emergency communications, and state and local governments. ICMA is uniquely qualified for the work required under this project through its outreach and facilitation expertise, knowledge of public safety and transportation issues, national network and affiliations with local governments.
