Description
Item 0001 NSN 1377-01-346-2222ES P/N: 1358-1, The thruster consists of a steel housing/cylinder assy measuring 8.6 in. long & 2.120 ins. diameter. A threaded steel piston extends 1.125" from the housing in the pre-fired position. Total overall length is 9.725 in., total weight is 2.75 lbs. It has two. 375 in. trunnion ears attached 6.0 in. From the pis- ton end. There is a gas port on the piston end & gas inlet port on the opposite end. Upon application of 400-600 psi gas pressure to the inlet port, two firing pins strike two pvu-1/a primers igniting the output charge thus causing the pis-ton to stroke 2.9 in. 39ea. Applicable to: F-117. Destn: FB2172. Delivery: 30 APR 2002 39 ea The anticipated award date will be 10 DEC 2001. Electronic procedure will be used for this solicitation. See our Web page. Authority: 10 U.S.C. 2304(C)(1), Justification: Supplies (or Services) required are available from only one or a limited number of responsible source(s) and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Specifications, plans, or drawings relating to the procurement described are incomplete or not available and cannot be furnished by the Government. An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor, concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
