Description

NASA/KSC plans to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the operation, maintenance (O&M) and sustaining engineering for the following in support of the Meterological Instrumentation Support Systems Contract at Kennedy Space Center: 50 MHz Doppler Radar Wind Profiler (DRWP) Lightning Detection and Ranging (LDAR) Mesonet: Visibility and soil moisture sensor network This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). The Government intends to acquire a commercial service using FAR Part 12. The NAICS Code and size Standard are 541710 and 1000 employees, respectively. The DPAS Rating for this procurement is DO-A2 . The contract will be Firm Fixed Price and will cover a 5 year period (one year basic plus four one-year options). This will be a 100% small business set-aside. The anticipated release date for RFP4MISS is on or about 12/14/01, with an anticipated proposal due date of approximately 30 days after the RFP release. The solicitation, Statement of Work and any other documents related to this procurement will be available over the Internet. These documents will be in Microsoft Office Suite (Word 6.0, Excel 5.0, PowerPoint 4.0) format and will reside on a World Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWW browser application. Prospective offerors shall notify this office of their intent to submit an offer.
