BRUKER DRX 400 (NMR) SPECTROMETER This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is F04700-02-T-0007. This is a request for quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition circular (FAC) 2001-01, and DFARS Change Notice (DCN) 20011101. NAICS code is 334516. Size Standard is 500. The acquisition includes Contract Line Item Number (CLIN) 0001. Description of the service include: Provide maintenance Service Support of Bruker DRX 400 NMR (Nuclear Magnetic Resonance) Spectrometer located at the Air force Research Laboratory (AFRL/PR-W) 10 E Saturn Blvd, Bldg. 8451, Edwards AFB CA 93524. The covered equipment is the Bruker DRX 400 NMR Spectrometer with solids capability, all attached peripherals, and software. Covered equipment also included all glass parts, including the quartz inserts and probes. Service support shall include all software and operating system upgrades that occur for the DRX 400 Spectrometer and all software upgrades related to the supporting components of this instrument. The contractor shall provide the following services: 1) Preventive and remedial maintenance and other service support performed under this contract including all labor, materials, parts, shipping and transportation required to perform this contract; 2) Pay for shipping of all service/parts to and from the repair site; 3) Preventive maintenance shall be performed as often as needed in accordance with the original equipment manufacturer?s specifications for each individual product; 4) Preventive maintenance shall include all software and operating system upgrades; 5) Preventive maintenance shall include, at a minimum, one annual preventive maintenance review of the equipment by the contractor; 6) Remedial maintenance; 7) Establish a point of contact where calls for this maintenance may be made; 8) Provide telephone support for diagnosis of covered equipment malfunctions during the hours of 0900 to 1600 local time, Monday through Friday, excluding observed holidays; 9) Supply replacement parts as required on an exchange (refurbish) or new parts basis; 10) Repair ?Repair Center Service? items and provide return material transportation costs; 11) Respond by telephone within 24-hours of the initial request for remedial maintenance to provide diagnostic service support and to arrange, when mutually agreed upon, an estimated time of arrival for the contractor personnel for on-site remedial maintenance. 12) Diagnose covered equipment malfunction(s) and install replacement parts when contractor personnel are on-site. 13) On-site service shall be provided by the contractor during the hours of 0800 and 1400 Monday through Friday, excluding observed holidays. This solicitation incorporates one or more solicitation provisions by reference with the same force and effect as if they were given in full text. The following provisions and clauses apply.
