Description
Sole Source. The United States Army Yuma Proving Ground (USAYPG), Arizona, intends to award a fixed price three-year requirements contract on a sole source basis with DRS Hadland, Inc., 20480 Pacifica Drive, Suite D, Cupertino, CA 95014. This contract w ill be for the following 4 items pertaining to ballistic cameras: 1) SVR3 Electronic Ballistic Range Camera consisting of: High Resolution 2048 x 2048 x 12 bit CCD Sensor, Drive Circuitry, 40mm MCP intensifier, f/o coupled to CCD, Exposure Times of 20 n s to 1 millisecond, Built-in Delay Generator, 100 Meters f/o Cable, Zoom Lens, Lens Support, Through the lens focus, Flash Drive Pulse, Fitted Transit Case, and Operation Manual, Desk Top Control Computer, estimated quantity 10 each. 2) SVR3 Software upgr ade (proprietary) for existing SVR2 camera users, estimated quantity 10 each. 3) Flight Follower System to include: Servo Motor Driven Mirror, Mirror Control Unit, 2 Sky Screen Units, Control Computer, Control Software Environmental Housing Unit with Fan and Heater, latest software for acceleration and drag, estimated quantity 10 each. 4) High Power Flash Lamp RF250 with the following capability: 250 joules, 25 usec.; adjustable beam diameter, inclusive of power supply, water resistant and ruggedized, e stimated quantity 10 each. The above items are commercial off the shelf items that are compatible with the form, fit and function of existing Hadland Ballistic Cameras currently in use at USAYPG and other military installations. Award of this requirement will be in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12 Acquisition of COMMERCIAL items. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a reque st for competitive proposals. If you feel your firm possesses the ability to provide this product, then you must respond by 29 November 2001, 2 p.m. MST.
