- Description
- The Government intends to solicit and awarad a Firm Fixed Price contrct of 1 basic year and three (3) 1-year options for the following: Field Service Representative (FSR) to provide Intermediate Level and authorized depot-level support of ALQ-135 Band 3 production systems at an overseas site designated by the Air Force (AF). The FSR shall be qualified to maintain ALQ-135 prime and support equipment required for Intermediate level maintenance of ALQ-135 Band 3 line-replaceable units. FSR should have 3-5 years experience performing intermediate/depot repair of ALQ-135 subassemblies and have access to ALQ-135 system engineering support. The contractor FSR should include the following: 1) Perform intermediate and certain depot-type repairs where the capability exists and is authorized. 2) Assist in troubleshooting of on-aircraft ALQ-135 Band 3 system anomalies. 3) Function as advisor to the AF and access system manufacturer channels to resolve any unique system problems. 4) Provide maintenance and repair data consistent with Air Force procedures and document AF databases. 5) use Government furnished equipment (GFE) for maintenance test of non-serviceable items. The workload, based on 3-year historical average, is estimated at 125 units per year. Repaired items shall pass the applicable performance test and inspection by AF quality control supervisors before they are returned to the Government as serviceable items. The Government will provide for shipment of assets (prime and support equipment) and spare items between field support locations and the contractor's facilities. The Government will provide facilities to support flight line troubleshooting, unit repair, and use of Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory (PMEL) equipment required for calibration of common equipment and GFE. Calibration of peculiar contractor-funished equipment considered beyond the scope of Government PMEL support shall be the responsiblity of the contractor.
