Description

The Marine Corps Systems Command intends to negotiate a sole source, purchase order with Intertek Testing Services of Cortland, New York, for the purpose of testing commercial environmental control units (ECU) which range in size from 1.5-tons to 5-tons. The testing will focus on the following areas: Control, Evaporator Compartment Air Leakage, Cooling Capacity, Airflow, Heating Capacity, High and Low Temperature Operation, Salt Fog, Humidity, Vibration, Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability and Environmental Electromagnetic Interference. This testing is necessary to determine whether or not the equipment meets specific Marine Corps application. No RFP is available for competitive bidding; however, interested parties may submit a statement of capability for satisfying this requirement, to include descriptive literature and pricing, within 15 days of this announcement to the contact person listed above. (See Note 22; 45 days, as referenced in subject note, is reduced to 15 days.)
