Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The solicitation number for this requirement is USZA95-02-T-0005, and is issued as a Request For Quotation. The due date for quote submission is December 14, 2001, 2:00PM est. The US Special Operations Command has a requirement for documentation digitization according to the following specifications: Approximately 55 boxes (+/- 10" x 11" x 15") of hard copy files, folders, studies, etc. to be digitized. Conversions will be delivered in Portable Document Format (PDF) on CD-ROM discs for easy retrieval of data. Documents/data to be converted are primarily 8-1/2" x 11", but up to 10% of the data will be sizes up to 11" x 17". Approximately 5% of the pages contain photographs or photocopies. No conversion work will be required exceeding 11" x 17" in size (hard copy). Approximately 10% of the pages are double-sided. Conversions will include double-sided pages. All documents will be indexed as determined by the applicable technical point of contact. Approximately 25 boxes will be indexed to 3 fields, the other 30 boxes into 6 inventory fields. Contractor will provide monthly updates of conversion progress/status. The delivery of the CD-ROM discs shall be to: Technology Applications Program Office, Attn: Sabrina Powell, Bldg 401, Lee Blvd., Ft. Eustis, VA 23604. The best delivery date available is requested. The information contained in this notice and solicitation is also available on the Interagency Business Opportunities Page (IBOP) website: https://abop.monmouth.army.mil. Note: Contractors must be registered in IBOP in order to be able to submit a quote. Quotations for this solicitation will be accepted only through IBOP or by e-mail (if IBOP is not available by the due date). Offerors or quoters are encouraged to inspect the materials on site prior to submission of a quote to satisfy themselves regarding all general conditions that may affect the cost of performing the conversions.
