Description

This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). Pursuant to FAR 6.3 -- Other Than Full and Open Competition 10 U.S.C. 2304(c) applies. The Government intends to award a follow-on sole source contract to: Software Development Technologies 2 North Second Street, Suite 1300 San Jose, CA 95113 FAR 6.302-1 Only one responsible source and no other services will satisfy agency requirements pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). Services are deemed available only from the original source based upon this effort is a follow-on contract for the continued support to the WESTERN AERONAUTICAL TEST RANGE (WATR) Systems Software testing, verification and validation and it is highly likely that award to any other source would result in substantial duplication of cost to the Government that is not expected to be recovered through competition. See Note 22. The provisions and clauses in the RFQ are those in effect through FAC 97-21. The NAICS Code and the small business size standard for this procurement are 541512 and $18.0, respectively. The Deliverables and Period of Performance is a basic two year effort with potentially three one-year options as follows: Deliverable 1 Software Test Support 12/15/01 to 12/14/03 Deliverable 2 V&V Support 12/15/01 to 12/14/03 Three one-year optional periods of performance: Deliverables 1 and 2 same as above 12/15/03 to 12/14/04 " 12/15/04 to 12/14/05 " 12/15/05 to 12/14/06 The DPAS rating for this procurement is DO-A7.
