Description

Reference is made to the synopsis published in FedBizOpps and the CBD on 16 November 2001 for Solicitation DTRA01-02-T-0006 for Clerical, Administrative, Professional and Facilities Services for the Defense Threat Reduction Agency. The purpose of this mod ification to that synopsis is: (1) The solicitation number is changed FROM DTRA01-02-T-0006 TO DTRA01-02-R-0009 (all future postings on FedBizOpps or the CBD for this requirement will reference DTRA01-02-R-0009); (2) the correct o/a date for issuance of the FINAL RFQ is 7 December 2001; (3) provide clarification as to the purpose of the DRAFT RFP; (4) Establish alternate procedures for obtaining the RFQ should posting of the RFQ on FedBizOpps be unsuccessful; and (5) Establish a mechanism for firms to be included on a list that will be provided with the FINAL RFQ that indicates firms which are interested in being team partners and firms who as the prime offeror are looking for team partners. For clarification purposes, interested sources are advised that t he purpose of issuing the DRAFT RFQ is to obtain industry comments before releasing the FINAL RFQ-quotes are not to be submitted for the DRAFT RFQ. THE FOLLOWING CHANGES ARE APPLICABLE AS A RESULT OF ITEMS (4) AND (5) ABOVE: Delete the following statemen t from the original synopsis: The RFQs and all related information will be issued ELECTRONICALLY ONLY via FedBizOpps. THE FOLLOWING IS APPLICABLE: Our goals is to have the RFQs and all related information issued ELECTRONICALLY ONLY via FedBizOps (http:/ /www.fedbizopps.gov). You may also access this data at the following website: http://acquisition.army.mil, from there click on contracting opportunities, scroll down and click on Defense Threat Reduction Agency. HOWEVER, SINCE AT THIS POINT WE ARE NOT S URE IF THE DRAFT RFQ WILL TRANSMIT TO FEDBIZOPPS, the following procedures are being established: Firms interested in the above requirement should e-mail susan.gaumer@dtra.mil and request a copy. Your request must contain the following information: Firm Name, Address, telephone number and contact point. A bidder's mailing list will then be compiled and provided with the FINAL RFQ. If you are looking to be a team partner for this requirement or if you are a prime looking for team partners and you would like this indicated on the bidders mailing list, please indicate one of the following: INTERESTED IN BEING A TEAM PARTNER (INDICATE WHICH GSA FEDERAL SUPPLY SCHEDULE(S)) or PRIME LOOKING FOR TEAM PARTNERS (INDICATE WHICH GSA FEDERSL SUPPLY SCHEDULE(S)). If we are successful in posting the complete DRAFT RFQ on FedBizOpps, firms are to obtain the DRAFT RFQ from FedBizOpps or the Army site indicated above and no other distribution will be made from this office. If we are unsuccessful in posting the DRAFT R FQ on FedBizOpps, the DRAFT RFQ as well as any future documents will be sent electronically via e-mail.
