Description

17. Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) intends to modify sole source Basic Ordering (BOA) N00024-01-G-5240 with Raytheon Company, Electronic Systems, Naval and Maritime Integrated Systems of 1847 West Main Road, Portsmouth, RI 02871-1087 to extend the ordering period for one year from the current expiration date of 14 January 2002. The BOA provides for the placement of US Navy, US Coast Guard and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) customer orders covering field engineering services and support during repair, alterations, field changes, overhaul, refurbishment and maintenance of AN/SPS-73(V) Radar Systems. The BOA allows for the placement of firm fixed-price (FFP) type contract or cost-plus-fixed-fee (CPFF) type contract orders. Raytheon is the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and the sole producer of the AN/SPS-73 (V) Radar System. Therefore, no other firm possesses the techni cal expertise necessary to perform the work required by the Government. The modification will be issued pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1).
