Description

Provide all personnel, materials and services to repair, recover and refinish furniture for Fort Hood, Texas. All furniture shall be refinished and restored to a presentable and usable condition, to include complete reupholstering of all upholstered porti ons. This includes, but is not limited to, the replacement of any part of the furniture unit, such as arm rests, casters, scuff plated, guides, desk tops, desk backs, metal molding, glass and drawer pulls. Quantities stated in the solicitation are estima ted. This action will be conducted as a commercial service acquisition in accordance with FAR Part 12 and 14. The place of performance is unknown. Possible areas of performances for which the contracting officer has requested wage determinations are Killeen, TX, Burnet, TX, Mansfield, TX, Austin, TX, Lampasas, TX, Houston, TX, Mesquite, TX, Birmingham, AL and Gun tersville, AL. Wage determinations for additional possible places of performance will be requested by the contracting officer if asked to do so in writing. The time and date by which requests shall be received by the contracting officer will be included in the solicitation FAR clause 52.222-49, Service Contract Act-Place of Performance Unknown. This procurement is 100% set aside for small business. The resultant contract will be a firm fixed price requirement contract with a base year beginning 1 June 2002 through 31 May 2003, with four (4) one-year option periods. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this acquisition is 811420. The small business size is $5 million. The solicitation will be post through the Internet on or after 5 December 2001 with an anticipated closing date of 4 January 2002. The solicitation will be issued electronically and will be available for viewing at the following websites: http://ccmd.hood .army.mil, the Fort Hood Business Opportunities page at http://abop.monmouth.army.mil and EDI.
