Description

NOTICE OF INTENT -- The 55th Contracting Office, Offutt AFB, NE intends to issue a sole-source purchase order under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures to Visual Numerics for the acquisition of annual vendor-provided maintenance on PV-WAVE Extreme Advantage 7.0 software licenses. Visual Numerics is the only source that can provide these items. These items are covered by proprietary information and are not available through dealers or distributors. This is not a request for quotation nor an announcement of a forthcoming solicitation. Requests for copies of a solicitation in response hereto will not be honored or acknowledged. All timely responses will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not it is advantageous for the Government to conduct a competitive procurement; no award will be made on the basis of any response to this notice. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. The government will not pay for information submitted in response to this publication. Any responsible firm that feels it has the capability to proivde these items may contact Ms Janice Knowles at 402-294-4097 no later than 1500 CST on 6 December 2001.
