Description

The US Coast Guard, MLC Pac, Alameda, Ca, proposes to contract for Drydock and Repair of USCGC ANTHONY PETIT, a 175? Buoy Tender, home ported in Ketchikan, AK. All work will be performed during the period of 3 April 2002 through 28 May 2002, at a contractor?s facility capable of drydocking the cutter. Work will include, chain locker clean and inspect, underwater body inspection, auxiliary sea water system piping modifications, sea strainers overhaul, valve renewal/overhaul, chainstopper replacement, cross deck winches inspect and repair, buoy decks preservation, underwater body preservation, buoy & cargo Handling crane inspect and repair, drydocking and temporary services. An Invitation for Bid (IFB) will be issued OOA 21 Dec 2001, in accordance with the SBCDP. For Women ?Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises, the Department of Transportation (DOT) Minority, Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization has programs to assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged enterprises to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at the prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000.
