Description

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Gerome Reeve, Boulder, CO for additional work associated with authoring a history of the calibration development work funded by the Calibration Coordination Group (CCG), under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) Only one Source Reasonably Available. Specifically, after interviews with appropriate staff members and the information gathering, write a draft version historical record of all the work funded by the CCG at NIST, running approx. 100 pages in length and submit for review and approval by NIST and CCG. Besides having already gathered all data for this historical document, the contractor is a former Coordinator for the CCG and is uniquely familiar with the technical work at NIST funded by the CCG. Original estimates were for a 50 page text document but a document twice the size w/photographs and illustrations is now envisioned. A modification will be issued to an existing Purchase Order to cover the additional work on or about 12/07/01 and the period of performance is three (3) months. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement, in writing. This notice of intent is not a request for competition. However, the Government will consider all responses received by the closing date. Written responses to this synopsis shall contain sufficient documentation to establish a bona fide capability to fulfill the requirement. A Request for Quotation (RFQ) is not available. See Note 22.
