Description

The Contracts Office Naval Surface Warfare Center, Indian Head, Md. (NSWCIH) intends to award a Sole Source contract to Hittie Microwave Corporation. The procurement is for a base quantity of 450 SOT26 Packaged HM2560 units. There are to be options delivered at a later date for no more than an additional 1050 units. The government is to provide the packaged HMC2560 MMIC Transceiver as GFM. This item was developed under a previous Navy Contract specifically as an ultra-low current Monolithic Microwave IC (MMIC) Transceiver for use in the M80 Submunition as a miniature proximity fuze radar sensor. The resulting contract will be a firm fixed price contract. Negotiation being conducted using other than full and open competition procedures pursuant to authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304 (C) (1).
