Description

This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). Library and office system is needed for the Media Services Library, which is part of the newly-constructed additions to the existing NASA News Center facility. This system must best utilize the available floor space to file reference materials, press kits, and other publications required by worldwide news media covering Shuttle launches and other NASA events. This procurement is a total small business set-aside or on GSA schedule. The NAICS Code and the small business size standard for this procurement are 337214 and 500, respectively. The quoter shall state in their quotation their size status for this procurement. All qualified responsible business sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency. Delivery to NASA, Kennedy Space Center is required within 8 weeks ARO. Delivery shall be FOB Destination. The DPAS rating for this procurement is DO-C9. Quotations for the items(s) described above are due by midnight, December 15, 2001 and may be mailed or faxed to John F. Kennedy Space Center, NASA, Procurement Office, Mail Code: OP-ES, Attention Linda Ranow, Kennedy Space Center, Florida 32899 or faxed to (321) 867-1166 or (321) 867-2042 and include, solicitation number, FOB destination to this Center, proposed delivery schedule, discount/payment terms, warranty duration (if applicable), taxpayer identification number (TIN), Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) code, identification of any special commercial terms, and be signed by an authorized company representative. If desired, call Linda Ranow at (321) 867-3422 for a Request for Quote (RFQ). Quoters shall provide the information required by FAR 52.212-1. If the end product(s) quoted is other than domestic end product(s) as defined in the clause entitled "Buy American Act -- Supplies," the quoter shall so state and shall list the country of origin. FAR 52.212-4 is applicable.
