Description

Modification: The Naval Sea Systems Command originally solicited for sources for Inactive Ship Maintenance for Pearl Harbor, HI in NECO date 20 November 2001. It appears that our previous announcements may have given the erroneous impression that our primary interest is in finding sources to operate and maintain OFFICES or FACILITIES. The purpose of this modification is to correct that impression: the Navy's primary interest is in finding sources who have the ability to perform receipt, inactivation, periodic inspections, maintenance, and disposal preparations, of INACTIVE SHIPS. In order to perform that primary effort on INACTIVE SHIPS, the selected contractor will operate a government-owned facility, i.e., a "GO-CO" (Government-owned, Contractor-operated) facility.
