Description
Project to 'Install Chillers at various buildings' will be issued in the near future. Work will consist of providing all labor, materials, equipment, and transportation required to install Government Furnished Equipment, air-cooled packaged chillers. The contractor shall remove existing chillers and condensers as applicable and related piping and wiring. Disconnect existing chillers from chilled water lines (supply and return) at points of connection inside the mechanical rooms. Piping is steel with welded joints. Contractors shall field verify pipe sizes. Disconnect all electrical power to chillers, and remove conduit and wiring back to electrical panel. Contractor shall be responsible for removing all debris and rubble generated during demolition. Contractor shall provide new isolation valves for chilled water lines (supply and return). Contractor shall reuse existing thermometers and their wells. Install new drain hose bibs at new piping low points. Government will disconnect temperature control sensors and probes. Contractor shall install new flow switch and connect to new pipe wells for temperature control sensors and probes. Contractor shall install new flow switch and connect to chiller control circuit pump interlock. Contractor will coordinate with government representative the location of new wells. Magnitude of construction is between $25,000 and $100,000. Performance period is 60 calendar days from issuance of the Notice to Proceed. Solicitation is being issued for full and open competition. Applicable NAICS code for this project is 235110, with a size standard of $11.5 million dollars. Solicitation and any subsequent amendments will be posted through the electronic posting system (http://eps.gov/). Paper copies will not be provided. Contractors will be solely responsible for monitoring the Internet and obtaining the solicitation documents and any amendments. Interested offerors must ensure they are registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) in order to receive award of a contract.
