- Description
- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation prepared in accordance with FAR Part 13. No RFQ will be prepared or made available. The Government intends to award, on a Sole Source basis, an order to Radiation Data, Inc. in accordance with the below statement of work. STATEMENT OF WORK. Cryostat/Germanium Crystal Sensor Combination Refurbishing. Paragraph 1.0. INTRODUCTION/BACKGROUND. The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center, San Diego (SCC-SD), Code 2744 is responsible for the refurbishing of Cryostat/Germanium Crystal Sensor Combinations. Paragraph 2.0. TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS. Paragraph 2.1. Maintenance Support. The contractor shall provide maintenance services to refurbish custom Cryostat/Germanium crystal sensor combinations. This is unique and highly specialized work, which can only be done by personnel familiar with the complicated procedures involved with refurbishing these sensors. The contractor, as maintenance requires, will remove and prepare crystals for ion implantation, replace the indium metal seals, molecular sieve, getter material, internal connection wires, FET, vacuum valve and seal, re-install crystal, align the cold finger/crystal can combination, re-establish proper vacuum, and perform required baseline resolution test. Furthermore, the Contractor will provide recommendations for additional maintenance and training to SSC personnel. Paragraph 3.0. TRAVEL. 3.1 Commercial Air. There will be 4 potential flights, for one individual, from New Jersey to San Diego through the coarse of the contract period. The allotment will cover airfare, rental car, lodging and per diem. Paragraph 4.0 GOVERNMENT FURNISHED EQUIPMENT AND SUPPLIES. 4.1 Drytel Vacuum System. 4.2 Dry nitrogen and a dry nitrogen glove box. 4.3 All required replacement parts to complete maintenance. Paragraph 5.0. OTHER. 5.1 Security. All personnel working under this contract must be U. S. citizens. All Radiation Data personnel working on board SPAWARSYSCEN (SSC-SD) must be escorted by SSC-SD personnel at all times while on board SSC-SD. 5.2 Place of Performance. Contractors off-site shop facility and SSC-SD Bay side location. 5.3 Reports and Deliverables. Refurbished sensors, training, and bi-annual DD Form 1423-1. 5.4 Period of Performance.
