USDA, Procurement Operations Division, Washington, DC plans to acquire on a sole source firm-fixed price basis a modification to the existing contract 53-3142-8-1008 to continue with software maintenance and computer support to the Departmental Mailing List System (DMLS) at USDA, Washington DC. This modification will not change the statement of work, labor categories, place of performance of deliverables. These efforts will be continuous and within the scope of the current contract. This modification will extend contract 53-3142-8-1008 until the follow on contrat can be competitively awarded. The required level of effort is estimated at 700 hours. This acquisition will be negotiated on a sole source basis with David Buscher & Associates, 5673, Chamblis Drive, Clarksville, MD 21029 under the Authority of FAR 6.302-1. David Buscher & Associates is the only source that can provide the necessary continuation of software maintenance and support to USDA without a break in support under the current contract 53-31432-8-1008. David Buscher & Associates is the developer of the DMLS softeaare and no source to maintain this software is known.=20
