Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a commercial item prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 1 2.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitati on; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation SP0600-01-R-0108-0001 is issu ed as a request for proposals. Please reference solicitation SP0600-01-R-0108 for incorporated provisions and clauses. Ple ase reference clause G150.06-2 SHIPMENT NUMBER TO BE IDENTIFIED ON INVOICES (PC&S)(DESC OCT 2001) in lieu of the AUG 2000 ve rsion referenced in SP0600-01-R-0108. DESC intends to evaluate offers and award a contract without discussions with offeror s. However, the Government reserves the right to conduct discussions if later determined by the Contracting Officer to be n ecessary. Therefore, offerors' initial offer should contain their best terms from a price and technical standpoint. The following item is being solicited: Line Item 005-95, Unleaded Gasoline, Ultra Low Sulfur Petrol (EN228), Estimate 43,91 7 Liters, NSN: 9130-99-956-6833, Specification Clause C1, FOB Destination TT, US Army Combat Equipment Battalion, Hythe Sho re Road, Hythe, Southampton S045 6ZD. 5,000 Liter estimated average delivery and 5,000 liter estimated minimum delivery. Product to be delivered into 1/9,500 Liter tank between the hours of 0800 and 1500. The Ordering Period for the line item b eing solicited is the date of award through 30 June 2004 and the Delivery Period begins 72 hours after the ordering period a nd ends 30 days after end of ordering period. If an offer was submitted under Solicitation SP0600-01-R-0108, then an Offer Submission Package (OSP) is not required for so licitation SP0600-01-R-0108-0001. If you have changes to any of your certifications or representations, please identify and complete the specific clause(s) in your offer. If you did not offer under SP0600-01-R-0108 and/or do not have a copy of the solicitation documents as amended, all other relative documents pertaining to this acquisition can be found at http://www.d esc.dla.mil/publicpages/p/grfuels/uk.cfm . The Government contemplates award of a Requirements Type, Fixed Price with Economic Price Adjustment contract resulting from this solicitation. Base Reference and Economic Price Adjustment: Offerors are reminded that price escalation will be based on the methods outl ined under Clause B19.02, ECONOMIC PRICE ADJUSTMENT (OVERSEAS) (DESC AUG 2000). Offerors are reminded to base their offer p rice on the base reference price of 9.12 PPL. Calculated utilizing Clause B19.02 using the base reference date of 1 DECEMBE R 01. Contract price will be updated monthly based on changes in the reference publication; price changes are not based on product costs. After award, DESC will provide updated monthly contract price escalations via contract modification.
