Description

The Federal Bureau of Prisons; Northeast Regional Contracting Office, c/o FCI Otisville, NY is soliciting for Trash Removal Services at the Federal Detention Center (FDC) -- Philadelphia, PA.. The Contractor shall provide all equipment, labor, and expertise required for the removal of trash/refuse from the FDC. The equipment to be provide is 0ne, totally enclosed, roll on/off compactor, with a lockable hopper door. Approximate 32 Yard capacity, maximum hopper height is 48"; minimum hydraulic packing force of 40,000 lbs.; cycle time of approx. 30 seconds. Contractor will exchange dumpsters a minimum of twice per week; Monday and Thursdays between the hours of 5:00 and 6:00am. The Compactor will be replaced at the time of the "pull". Due to security requirements, this unit will be required to be removed only during the hours stated and will undergo special security steps. This is a best value procurement and evaluation factors are price, past performance and ability to meet the requirements of the solicitation. The performance period will be a base year with the possibility of four option years. This is a small business set-aside, restricted to small businesses eligible to receive award. A security investigation/clearance is required. The solicitation will be available on or after December 17, 2001, and will be distributed through the General Services Administration's Federal Business Opportunities web site http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. Hard copies of the solicitation document will not be available except in extreme circumstances AND only if issuance in this manner is determined to be in the Government's best interest.
