- This work is set aside (reserved) for Small Business concerns. The project demolishes one half of a duplex housing unit, located at 297A Wortman Drive in the Geiger Heights housing area at Fairchild AFB WA and restores the site. Work includes, but is not limited, abating hazardous material (including asbestos and hazardous mold), demolishing the unit (including foundations), re-siding the newly exposed end with existing siding, finishing the exposed roof overhang, touch-up sheet rock and painting, capping utilities, backfilling, grading, and sodding the demolition site. Acquisition will be made with qualified Small Business concerns under competitive negotiation procedures. The areas of evaluation and their relative rank order will be stated in section ?M? of the solicitation. The Government will award a contract resulting from the solicitation to the responsible Small Business offeror whose offer conforms to the solicitation requirements and provides the best value to the Government considering Price and Past Performance. The performance period is 105 calendar days. The 105 calendar days are further broken into two phases: Submittal phase of no more than 60 calendar days and Physical Work phase consisting of 45 calendar days. Separate notices to proceed will be issued for each phase. Warranty of construction clause should also be included in the General Provisions. Work hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., excluding federal holidays. Liquidated damages shall apply for both phases of the project. Government furnished materials are not included. This work is not located in a restricted or controlled area. Estimated cost range is from $25,000 to $100,000. A solicitation will be issued on or about 9 Jan 02. Funding for this project is not available at this time. If funding becomes available, all responsible Small Business offerors will be considered. Small Business companies may download the solicitation from www2.eps.gov. Proposers will be required to submit their proposals via paper copy. Estimated proposal due date is 9 Feb 02.
