- Description
- Potential sources are sought to provide Laundry and Dry Cleaning services for various locations at Lackland AFB, Texas, including Kelly USA, Medina Annex, Camp Bullis TX and Wilford Hall Medical Center (WHMC). Separate contracts may be awarded for each type service. This is not a solicitation, it is strictly for planning purposes. The contractor shall provide personnel, equipment, transportation, facilities and supplies to launder and dry clean government linen and clothing. Linen and/or clothing articles will be weighed in pounds and/or counted by number of pieces. Separate containers will be required for transporting clean and soiled linen. The WHMC laundry workload is estimated at 2.1 M pounds per year. The remaining workload is estimated at 4.0 M pieces per year. The government is considering multiple contracts for these services that may include a basic period and 4 one-year option periods. The NAICS Code is 812331. Potential offerors will need be registered in the Central Contractor Register (CCR) System in order to transact business with the government. CCR registration can be obtained by accessing www.ccr.gov or by calling 1-888-227-2423. All sources must include their business size, experience in laundering hospital and other laundry/dry cleaning services and identify whether a facility is available to perform these different services. Please respond to the Market Survey questions below: 1. Have you ever laundered/dry cleaned hospital linen and clothing articles? If yes, number of contracts within the past 3 years? _________________. 2. Do you meet the requirements of the Guidelines for Healthcare Linen Service developed by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Health Care Organization (JCAHO)? __________________________. 10. Are you inspected by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Health Care Organization (JCAHO)? ______________________11. Can you provide 7-day service and holidays? ______________________. 12.
