Description

The United States Government under NATO International Competitive Bidding, is inviting bids for the replacement of North East Loop Hydrant Fuel System at RAF Fairford. RAF Fairford is a United States Air Force base situated approximately 8 miles east of Cirencester in the county of Gloucestershire, United Kingdom. The scope of the work is the design and construction of the following jet fuel facilities: (a) Cross-base transfer pipeline 2,900 meters long; (b) 2 number fuel storage tanks each of 5,000 cubic meters capacity; (c) Manifold/filter building; (d) Control room/Stand generator outlets; (e) 15 number hydrant refueling outlets; (f) 2 number truck loading/unloading pits; (g)Test/flushing pit (h) Aircraft fueling pantographs and defuel apparatus (i) operations building (Single story,365 square meters) (j) Concrete parking area for 10 number refueler trucks (R-11); (k) Demolition and removal of the existing facility; (l) All associated civil engineering works, roads, paths, fences, drainage, IT ducts, landscaping etc. The contractor will be responsible for all aspects of the design and construction of the work, all statutory approvals and all estimates and insurances relating to the design and construction process. Nominated firms will be sent a questionaire and asked to provide financial and technical information to show that they are able to carry out the proposed work. The questionaire must be responded to in order to be invited to bid. All applicants must be certified by the NATO procurement officer at the U.S. Department of Commerce, Office of Telecommunications Technologies.
