Description

Air Force Operational Test and Evaluation Center (AFOTEC) intends to contract on a sole source basis with Metric Systems Inc., pursuant to FAR 6.302-1 to obtain an enhancement to the Fast Movers Rangeless Instrumentation (FMRI) aircraft instrumentation system in AFOTEC?s possession. The FMRI system includes a plate version of the airborne component as well as the pod version. The purpose of the enhancement is to provide a DC power source and bypass cables for the plate version of the airborne component for bench testing and to support deployments on platforms that do not provide 400 Hz power. The enhancement requires full physical and electrical compatibility with the internal components and connectors in the system. No other vendor can supply the equipment that can meet the Government testing requirements. All responsible sources may submit a quote, which shall be considered.
