Description

See Note 22. GovWorks Procurement Operations Branch, Minerals Management Service, of the Department of the Interior, in support of the Redstone Technical Test Center (RTTC), Redstone Arsenal, AL, has a requirement to procure a commercially available multi-channel data recorder to be used to support shock and vibration tests at their test facility in Bldg 4500 at Redstone Arsenal. The Dynamic Test Branch of RTTC uses data recorders to back up all primary data recording and to archive data in accordance with Army regulations. This requires use of multiple recorders in each of two test control rooms. To maintain commonality, all control roomrecorders must use the same medium and format. This provides transportability of data and reduces maintenance costs. A substantial investment in Metrum RS-512 hardware has been made by RTTC, and therefore they intend to procure this data recorder from Metrum-Datatape. The Government cannot and will not consider substitutions. Thus, the Government intends to procure one (1) each of the following items from Metrum-Datatape: 1) #RS512BBBA000, Rotary Recorder/Reproducer, 2) Code B 16-Channel Analog Input, 3) Code B 16-Channel Analog Output, and 4) #16825483-003 Rackmount Kit, to be delivered to RTTC within 30 days of contract award. The reason for this notice is to determine if there are other companies with the capability of meeting the specifications, delivery response, and terms and conditions of this commercial item, firm-fixed-price requirement, with FOB Destination. All shipping and handling costs must be included in the proposed price. Commercial item FAR clauses 52.212-1, -3, -4, & -5 apply to this solicitation, an may be downloaded from http://farsite.hill.af.mil or obtained from the contracting officer. FAR 52.212-3 has Representations and Certifications which must be completed and returned with the proposal. Vendors are required to provide their DUNS and TIN numbers with the proposal, and be able to accept electronic payment.
