Description

NOTICE OF INTENT: The U.S. Customs Service (USCS) intends to award a Blanket Purchase Agreement as a sole source for o ne year for various American Science & Engineering (AS&E) x-ray systems used to inspect trucks, mail and baggage at U.S. Por ts of Entry throughout the contiguous United States, Puerto Rico, Hawaii and the Bahama Islands. The requirement will be pr ocessed under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (c) (1), only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satis fy the agency requirements. The intended source is AS&E, 820 Middlesex Turnpike, Billerica, MA 01821. THIS NOTICE OF INTEN T IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. However, perspective contractors who believe they can successfully propose mu st provide specific and detailed technical documentation to support such claims and abilities. Proposals may be faxed to Je ff Daugherty by close of Business 12/10/02. No telephone requests will be posted.
