- Description
- The Naval Research Laboratory's conducts research entailing multi-disciplinary approaches to discovering and applying new knowledge and technologies to space and avionics applications and designing, fabricating, testing, and operating space systems and related technology systems (e.g., space and ground systems, launch vehicle integration, and mission operations). Consequently the Laboratory has a requirement for engineering, scientific, logistical and technical support in the areas of research, development, test and evaluation, operation of advanced concept and prototype spacecraft and their payloads and their launch systems, airborne systems, and related innovative technology development. The Contractor's efforts will range from concept exploration through specification formulation, development, test, integration, launch, operations, proof-of-concept and quick-reaction capability demonstrations, innovative solutions for wide area remote sensing, information age technologies, space=20 systems architectures, and advanced launch vehicle systems. Offerors must have demonstrated experience and demonstrated ability to provide qualified personnel in performing the specified tasks. The Government anticipates an award of a Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF) type contract. Personnel proposed to work on the resultant contract shall have at least a Secret clearance or shall be capable of obtaining at least a Secret clearance prior to contract commencement. Period of Performance will be one (1) year with four (4) one-year options. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 541710. The NRL uses Electronic Commerce (EC) to issue RFPs and amendments to RFPs. The solicitation and any amendments to it will be available via the Internet at the URL address shown below. Paper copies of the RFP will not be provided. The proposed contract listed here is to be awarded under full and open competition. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the agency. The response date published in this synopsis is the current estimated date.
