Description

The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency intends to award a sole source commercial contract directly to Fitch Information, Inc., providing analysis and research service related to financial institutions and sovereigns. The contract will represent a renewal of the OCC's previous contract with Thomson BankWatch, Inc., and acquired by Fitch. The period of performance of the contract will be for a base year and two option years, and will be issued under FAR Part 12. The OCC intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation document is available. Information received with pricing and sufficient technical documentation to establish a bonafide capacity to meet the requirement within five business days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the OCC. A determination not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the OCC. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
